MY GOAL LIST(S)

Goal setting...  It's what got me through the tough times early on in my weight loss journey.   Setting my goals and creating my goals list helped me picture where I wanted to be and where I want to go in life as an individual.  I can't tell you how motivating it is to achieve a new goal and strike it off the list.

MY 2008 & BEYOND GOALS

  • Complete the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii

    The "BIG ONE"...

"Surely I could never complete an Ironman?" I mused, early in 2008 as I built my new goal list.      I didn't think I could run a sprint triathlon much less a full course Ironman.

Fast forward 11 months....  I've completed 20 triathlons, a marathon and 9 other road races in 2008.   Not only do I KNOW that I CAN complete the full course Ironman triathlon I KNOW that I CAN complete it with a decent time.  It will take plenty of training, determination, dedication and a ton of heart.

For me it's all about "HOW BAD DO YOU I WANT IT?"

I know how bad I want it every day when I get up at dawn to swim, bike and run.

It WILL happen.  The split second that my foot touches the finish line as I pass under the arch and Mr. Reilly is shouting out "Chad Soileau YOU ARE AN I-R-O-N-M-A-N!" will be the definitive moment in time that I know that I have, unequivocally, won my battle against obesity.
